Patricia Bucek is the National Director of Marketing and Talent Attraction for Vibrant Pittsburgh. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s employer relationships and managing and coordinating the promotion of the region and market outreach initiatives to diverse talent both locally and nationally. Ms. Bucek is a Pittsburgh native, so as she puts it, “selling Pittsburgh and the region is easy.” Ms. Bucek was recently named by Governor Wolf to the Pennsylvania Commission for LGBTQ Affairs, the first of its kind in the nation. In Pittsburgh, she also serves as a board member for Allegheny GoatScape, a non-profit organization that works to reduce invasive and unwanted vegetation in public spaces and vacant lots in and around Pittsburgh, utilizing goats for browsing.
Ms. Bucek came to Vibrant Pittsburgh from the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corporation where she served as Vice President. Prior to joining the Chamber, she was the Executive Director of the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, the Director of Business Development for Senior Health Management and a Program Director for UPMC Pinnacle (formerly PinnacleHealth) in Harrisburg.
Ms. Bucek lives on the North Shore and commutes weekly to Pittsburgh from her primary residence in Mechanicsburg where she lives with her wife, Sharon, two rescue dogs, and a bird. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, bicycling, cooking, and being an avid fan of Pittsburgh’s professional sports teams.
